We don’t have a fixed changeover day. If it works with our schedule you can arrive on the day that suits you. Similarly depending on who’s behind or ahead of you, we can be flexible on check in/out times too!
We love dogs. Our fox red labrador adores her adventures in the forest and dozing in front of the open fire. But she has to abide by two canine house rules. She's not allowed on the furniture nor upstairs. We welcome our guests' dogs but the same rules must apply.
But smoking is not.....
We're not fans of tobacco and insist there is no smoking anywhere in the cottage. Outdoor smokers must clear up after themselves. Please respect the National Park and wildlife by resisting the temptation to flick those butts in to our lovely forest to decompose over the next ten years.
And winter can cause us problems.....
We accept winter bookings but must forewarn you.....we can get lots of snow. It's beautiful here when that happens but too much and the access track becomes impassable. Our private water supply can freeze if sub-zero temperatures persist. Neither of these happen often or for a sustained period. But if they do, we may have to cancel your booking at short notice. Of course we will return all monies paid.
Just one more thing….The secluded location comes at a small price – whilst we do have 4G Wifi we cannot receive a terrestrial TV signal. We do however have a library of DVD movies and music CDs. Oh and fairly reliable Vodafone and EE 4G connections for those with the right tech and desire to stay in touch with the outside world.

Please note that we sometimes reserve dates for our own family visits, marked ‘Provisional’ in the calendar. We’re often happy to step aside though, so please don’t be put off if it seems your preferred dates are already taken. Just note your request in the message box and we’ll see what we can do to accommodate you.
